Lance Johnson is a Producer with extensive experience developing and managing the production of a diverse slate of content, generating over $1.4 billion. As the President of Escape Artists (a Sony Pictures based production company), he developed and co-produced THE EQUALIZER with Denzel Washington, HOPE SPRINGS with Meryl Streep, and was responsible for the production of such films as SOUTHPAW, THE TAKING OF PELHAM 123 and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS. Lance most recently ran Electric Somewhere, director Jon M. Chu's production company. Under Lance's guidance, they sold several projects to Netflix, Amazon, Sony & Warner Bros, working with writers such as Academy Award nominee Scott Silver (JOKER). Independently, Mr. Johnson developed and sold projects to The Weinstein Company, Amazon, Miramax and HBO with writers such as Academy Award winner Chris Terrio (ARGO). In addition, Johnson produced several award-winning independent films that premiered at the Sundance, Toronto, SXSW, AFI, Tribeca and Deauville film festivals. Mr. Johnson is an honors graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Film and Television Production.
